We are seeking a talented Business Law Attorney to join our legal team and contribute to our Firm’s continued success. A strong candidate presents a background in corporate law, contract negotiation, risk management, and/or general legal compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel and support on a wide range of business-related issues to ensure the company’s operations align with applicable laws and regulations.


Business Law Attorney Responsibilities:

·        Legal Counsel: Advise the company on legal rights, obligations, and risks related to business transactions and corporate operations.

·        Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including partnership agreements, service contracts, and NDAs.

·        Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws affecting the company’s operations, including employment, intellectual property, tax, and regulatory laws.

·        Corporate Governance: Assist with corporate governance matters, including forming entities, managing corporate records, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies.

·        Dispute Resolution: Manage and resolve business disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation as necessary.

·        Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential legal risks by establishing internal controls and advising on business strategies.


Business Law Attorney Qualifications:

·        Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

·        Active license to practice law in North Carolina.

·        3-5+ years of experience practicing business law, including significant exposure to contract negotiation, corporate governance, and risk management.

·        Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law, including contract law, intellectual property, employment law, and regulatory compliance.

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal personnel.

·        Exceptional negotiation and problem-solving skills.

·        Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

·        Prior experience in-house at a corporation or with a top-tier law firm.

·        Strong business acumen and a proactive approach to legal risk management.

·        Motivated, and possess a strong sense of teamwork and respect for others, with integrity and desire to join a family-oriented workplace.
