Lead DevOps Engineer Responsibilities:  

  • Ability to perform many duties involving DevSecOps functions, including authoring and maintaining automation deployment and monitoring scripts, maintaining security controls and systems, managing virtualized and containerized assets, creating virtual and physical network configurations, servers, communications, and test and developer engineering support
  • Lead the design, integration, test, and initial deployment of various applications as part of a CI/CD pipeline centered on an enterprise Kubernetes environment using modern tools and patterns
  • This is not a management position; this is a technical lead position
  • Be a results-oriented lead for a team of engineers focused on providing an automated DevSecOps environment and supporting the automation of all aspects of system configuration and deployment
  • Must be able to author and maintain scripts in a variety of languages
  • Experience with private and hybrid cloud design/operation/monitoring/deployment:
    • In depth knowledge of an Enterprise Kubernetes deployment (Kubernetes, OCP, TKG)
    • Practical knowledge of Kubernetes and general containerization development, security, deployment and management practices
    • Extensive experience with Automation tools such as AWX, Jenkins, Ansible, etc
    • Knowledge of or ability to learn Amazon Web Services

Lead DevOps Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as engineering, computer science, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of relevant work experience
  • IAT Level II or greater. Security+, CISSP, or other equivalent certification is required within six months of hire
  • Requires U. S. Citizenship status with the ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance
