Senior Construction Project Manager - Higher Education
The Senior Construction Project Manager - Higher Education leads the overall direction of large, complex, or multiple projects, collaborating with Project Management Teams to ensure successful execution. This role involves assembling and managing teams to achieve timely and cost-effective project outcomes. Responsibilities include overseeing budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling, as well as managing the transition from pre-construction to construction phases.
Senior Construction Project Manager - Higher Education Responsibilities:
- Manage company personnel and resources; mentor and develop project management staff.
- Oversee preconstruction efforts, constructability reviews, and permit processes.
- Prepare and execute Project Executive Plans and trade contracts.
- Lead cost control, change management, and procurement processes.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, designers, consultants, and internal teams.
- Prepare and update project schedules, financial reports, and monthly status reports.
- Lead project meetings and review compliance with specifications and inspection data.
- Set up QA/QC procedures and ensure adherence to safety programs.
- Oversee project closeout and post-construction warranty management.
Senior Project Manager Requirements:
- 6+ years of project management experience, ensuring client satisfaction, on-time delivery, safety, and quality control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Must have a project portfolio in the higher education area.
- Proven leadership in team development, profit targets, and a culture of safety and quality.
- Procore Construction Management certification.
- Experience in electrical construction and familiarity with design/drawing software (Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360).
- Knowledge of Prolog, Primavera P6, JD Edwards, and project financial management.
- Strong written/verbal communication and management skills.

- $160-190 K annually (can be higher for highly experienced candidates)
