Job Summary

The Office Coordinator is responsible for providing human resources support to all areas of the organization. This position will serve as a liaison between the HR department and other departments and will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment and hiring, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, payroll, and HR compliance. The Human Resources Specialist will coordinate with managers and employees to ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures and will develop and implement initiatives to improve employee morale and productivity.


Office Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, interview, and hire new employees in accordance with established HR policies and procedures
  • Administer employee benefits programs including insurance plans (medical, dental, vision, and life) and retirement plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, including wage and hour, safety and health, and non-discrimination regulations
  • Respond to employee inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist with employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, and other employee issues
  • Conduct exit interviews and process all necessary paperwork

Office Coordinator Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • At least two years of experience working in human resources
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to human resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and human resources information systems (HRIS)
