Our client, an insurance organization with over three decades of successful history, is seeking a Contract Surety Underwriting Trainee to join their growing organization. Do you have knowledge of construction company accounting (for example - as a banker or accountant)? Are you looking for opportunities to leverage that knowledge in a new way? Our client is looking for someone who wants to learn the ropes of contract surety underwriting with an established book of business!

SURETY UNDERWRITING TRAINEE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain relationships with agents and brokers
• Oversee a book of contract surety business within the assigned territory
• Perform analytical evaluations of financial statements and monitor financial positions
• Determine acceptability of surety risks based on underwriting guidelines

SURETY UNDERWRITING TRAINEE REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience with construction financials; need to have experience reviewing and assessing financial statements (this can be as a banker, accountant, etc.)
• Familiarity with reviewing contracts
