Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chef de Cuisine for our Mediterranean restaurant in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in upscale cuisine, with Michelin-star experience being highly desirable. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring excellent culinary and people management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Manage all kitchen operations for the fine-dining restaurant
  • Develop and execute Mediterranean menus that meet the high standards of our establishment
  • Oversee food preparation, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish
  • Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards, adhering to all health regulations
  • Control food costs and manage inventory effectively
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Executive Chef, or Executive Sous Chef
  • Proven track record in Michelin-level restaurants preferred
  • Extensive experience in Mediterranean cuisine and fine-dining establishments
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
  • Formal culinary training or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in NYC restaurants
