Some Responsibilities for our Special Education Teacher:

  • Guide staff on legal issues related to special education policies, coordinate caseloads, schedules, transportation needs, and state assessments
  • Serve as the Local Education Agency (LEA) Representative on all IEP Teams and supervise the delivery of special education services
  • You'll review and revise IEP policies, maintain incident reports, track special education transfers, and ensure compliance with DPI directives and timelines
  • Ensure faculty and staff are well versed in all requirements to implement student Individualized Education Programs (IEP) for the effective implementation of IDEA

Qualifications for our Special Education Teacher:

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with Special Education Certification
  • Knowledge of creating and implementing IEPs complying with special education laws.
  • Preferred background in Science and Math
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and ability to be insured by Company policy
  • Must clear background check for a Community Care Licensed facility, including physical, TB, and drug test
