Job Summary
Our client focuses on designing and manufacturing high-quality lighting fixtures, home accessories, and furnishings. This position will begin as remote and transition to a hybrid model over the next year. The team values collaboration and is seeking candidates who share this quality. Must live in the Sonoma, Northern San Francisco area of California.

Drafter Requirements:
- SolidWorks Experience: 1-2 years of intermediate proficiency, including skills in sweep, revolve, extrude, lofts, advanced mates, and creating organized exploded views.
- Mechanical Drafting Experience: 2-4 years of experience in creating layouts, customizing document properties, understanding macros, and generating detailed BOMs in accordance with ASME Y14 standards.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Intermediate to advanced understanding of manufacturing methods, particularly with brass (CNC milling, CNC lathe turning, spinning, brazing, etc.) is a plus.
- Detail-Oriented: A keen attention to detail is crucial for producing high-quality products.
- Communication Skills: Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a relaxed attitude and sense of humor.
- Understanding of Casting and Glass Blowing: Familiarity with these processes will help in creating clear 2D drawings for fabrication.
Drafter Responsibilities:
- Use SolidWorks to create and manipulate 2D CAD drawings (80-90% of the role) and develop SolidWorks models (10-20%) for engineering documentation.
- Update and maintain existing engineering drawings to incorporate design revisions.
- Work closely with team members on various projects to ensure collaboration and alignment.
