Job Summary

A free public charter school is seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Director to join our team.

Executive Director Responsibilities:

  • Visionary Leadership: Unite staff, students, and the community in creating a shared vision for school success that is challenging, engaging, and empowering for all students.
  • Strategic Planning & School Improvement: Set priorities, align resources, and drive strategic improvements through evidence-based practices.
  • Positive Culture Cultivation: Model courage, respect, empathy, and inclusivity while fostering an environment of trust, growth, and continuous learning.
  • Operational & Financial Oversight: In collaboration with the Business Manager, oversee budgets, administrative systems, and compliance with safety and federal requirements.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with a volunteer Board of Directors and maintain positive, consistent interactions with students, staff, and families.

Executive Director Qualifications:

  • Oregon Administrative Certificate (or ability to obtain within two months).
  • Master’s degree in Education, Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of five years of experience in education, with at least three years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional best practices and educational leadership.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and openness to innovative educational approaches.
