We're hiring a full-time Chief Estimator responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for projects ranging from small to multimillion-dollar ventures. This role collaborates with sales, engineering, and project management to ensure cost-effective solutions.

Chief Estimator Responsibilities:

• Review bid inquiries to ensure estimates meet technical, commercial, and contractual specifications
• Deliver accurate cost estimates and communicate delays with updated timelines
• Prepare lump sum, budget, and detailed cost estimates for various systems, including drying kilns, energy systems, heaters, and more
• Develop comprehensive scopes of work and estimates across engineering, electrical, manufacturing, construction, and logistics departments
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids, interpret drawings, and provide take-off pricing
• Review and proof estimates prepared by others for accuracy before submission
• Continuously refine estimating spreadsheets based on feedback from completed projects
• Maintain accurate records of estimates with the latest updates
• Verify that the final estimate aligns with the original bid after project awards and participate in kickoff meetings

Chief Estimator Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred
• 5-7 years of experience with an OEM or in a related field
• Strong management, communication, and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams
• High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and improvement
• Understanding of manufacturing and field erection processes, including civil construction work
• Self-starter with strong research and project management skills
