We seek a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales & Operations to lead our sales efforts and oversee seamless event execution.
Director of Sales & Operations Responsibilities:
Sales & Client Relations:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to attract new clients and increase bookings for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and consistent communication.
- Conduct site tours, consultations, and negotiations with potential clients, ensuring their vision aligns with the venue’s offerings.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to drive promotional campaigns and maximize visibility.
Operations & Event Management:
- Oversee all aspects of event operations, ensuring smooth execution from planning to day-of coordination.
- Partner with vendors and staff to ensure the highest standards of service and quality are maintained.
- Manage event timelines, layouts, and logistics while ensuring venue policies and safety standards compliance.
- Address and resolve any issues or challenges promptly and professionally.
Leadership & Financial Oversight:
- Lead and mentor a team of event coordinators and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Monitor budgets, revenue targets, and profitability for all events.
- Track key performance metrics and provide regular updates to senior management.
Director of Sales & Operations Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event sales and operations, preferably in the wedding or hospitality industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in venue management, including overseeing facility operations, maintenance coordination, and client/vendor relations.
- Strong network within the NYC event and wedding community is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with acute attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in event management software and CRM systems.
- Flexible schedule, including availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
