We are looking for a proven high-volume banquet and catering Executive Chef to spearhead the culinary operations in the Kansas City metro. Executive Chef Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement ongoing and custom menus for events of all sizes both on and off-site including costing measures and detailed execution plans featuring items from different cuisines using current trends.
- Produce and execute diverse menus including transporting product, renting equipment, utilizing equipment in different venues and developing the flow of food service for large events (3000+) to intimate in-home events
- Regularly meet with clients and the sales team to present mutually beneficial and creative solutions to event challenges
- Build and maintain a remarkable culinary team including hiring, training, developing, coaching and counseling and conducting performance reviews
- Create and maintain comprehensive recipes and train staff to adhere to standards
- Build respectful relationships with the team while holding them accountable - integrity and inclusivity are priorities
Executive Chef Qualifications:
- 5+ years of recent experience as an Executive Chef in an upscale full-service hotel or catering venue, including significant experience with large-scale on and off-site elevated catering operations with annual sales volumes over $10MM
- Significant experience successfully developing, implementing, and executing extensive and varied menus of all worldly cuisines for on and offsite catering events of all sizes including transporting product, renting equipment, utilizing equipment in different venues and developing the flow of food service for large events (3000+) to intimate in-home events
- Experience leading a team of 100+ individuals
- An engaging and polished professional presentation including an innate comfortability with speaking in intimate settings and large groups
