Bridge Engineer Qualifications

• Civil or Structural Engineering Bachelor's Degree
• License Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training
• 4+ years experience with bridge inspection, rating, and design
• Familiarity with MA Department of Transportation bridge inspection, rating, and design requirements

Bridge Engineer Responsibilities

• Carry out bridge inspections and compile detailed reports on findings.  
• Conduct load ratings for bridges and generate rating documentation.  
• Develop cost estimates and project work hour forecasts.  
• Design bridges for new builds, rehabilitation efforts, and replacement initiatives.
