Job Summary

Are you looking to join a private equity-backed manufacturer with over 80 years of experience in quick-ship and customized switchgear? Are you ready to be part of an aggressive expansion into new and existing markets? We are seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to drive sales growth by managing quotation opportunities, project costing, and customer proposals.

Switchgear Sales Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Respond swiftly to quotation requests
  • Analyze customer issues and offer technical solutions using electrical expertise
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide tailored solutions, assess risk, and manage project scope and timelines
  • Position the company as the primary consultant and solution provider for customers

Switchgear Sales Engineer Qualifications:

  • BA or BS with 2+ years in the electrical power industry, or Associate Degree with 4+ years, or HS diploma with 10+ years of industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of switchboards, switchgear, electrical distribution equipment, and mechanical principles; experience with low to high voltage (<600V up to 69KV)
  • Proven success in proposal processes and financial understanding of profit margins
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
