Hospitality HR Director Responsibilities:
- Craft and execute HR strategies that align with our business goals, reinforcing our company values and hospitality-focused culture.
- Lead the recruitment process to attract, hire, and retain exceptional talent. Develop effective onboarding programs tailored to the hospitality sector.
- Create a positive work environment by championing engagement initiatives, resolving conflicts, and addressing employee concerns. Regular satisfaction surveys should be conducted to identify areas for improvement.
- Identify training needs specific to the hospitality industry and design development programs that enhance skills and support career growth. Implement leadership development initiatives to cultivate future leaders.
- Design and manage performance appraisal systems that ensure fair evaluations. Provide guidance on performance improvement plans and employee development tailored to our service-oriented culture.
- Oversee competitive compensation strategies, benefits administration, and payroll processes to attract and retain top talent while ensuring compliance.
- Ensure HR policies adhere to employment laws relevant to the hospitality sector. Manage workplace safety protocols and health initiatives to maintain a secure environment.
- Payroll Processing - Monitor attendance, overtime, and scheduling ratios using industry-standard payroll software.
- Market Analysis - Conduct competitive compensation analyses to ensure we remain an employer of choice within the hospitality industry.
Hospitality HR Director Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the hospitality or resort sector.
- Proven track record of implementing successful HR programs and initiatives tailored to the hospitality environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere while managing multiple priorities.
- Deep understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations relevant to hospitality.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships at all organizational levels.
