Manufacturing Accounting Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with GAAP experience
- 5+ years of post-graduate accounting experience in a manufacturing environment with manual inventory (mandatory)
- 3+ years proven management experience leading full cycle accounting teams
- Understanding of Cost Accounting/Financial Accounting/Financial Reporting/Month End/ GL Reconciliation experience
- Expert Excel skills that include using Power BI/Query Macros or VBA or proficiency with other analytic tools
- Have examples of customizing reports to improve accounting processes
- Small ERP system experience/Implementations/System Administration experience
- Sage 300 experience a plus
- Exceptional communication skills, and strong attention to detail when working cross-functionally with other departments to improve processes and implement new systems
Manufacturing Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead the team and conduct comprehensive monthly analysis to monitor trends and variances in revenue, costs, and other profit and loss accounts
- Analyze monthly financial closing data and processes including balance sheets, inventory and CapEx balances and recommend adjustments as needed
- Initiate system enhancements and process improvement strategies
- Assist with company-wide system implementation projects
- Manage the finance team's role in annual inventory and inventory control functions
- Analyze CAPEX budget vs. actual spending
- Ad-hoc reporting and audit preparation
