Hotel Executive Chef Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience as an Executive Chef at a hotel with multiple outlets and large-scale events
  • A hands-on leadership approach
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage labor and food costs through P&L oversight
  • Expertise in team leadership, motivation, and development
  • Excellent verbal communication skills

Hotel Executive Chef Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, preparation, and execution of all banquet events
  • Ensure all food and beverage outlets operate at their best
  • Provide training and coaching to staff, fostering their growth
  • Offer feedback and hold the team accountable to maintain high standards
  • Manage staffing, hiring, and training as necessary to keep kitchens fully operational
  • Handle food procurement and comply with purchasing programs
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained
  • Work with the GM and Accounting to develop budgets
  • Adhere to all local and state food service regulations
