Manufacturing Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

Oversee financial accounting and month-end close processes

• Lead and mentor a team covering cost accounting, revenue accounting, AP & AR functions

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including trends and budget variances

• Drive system enhancements, report development, and process improvements

• Collaborate cross-functionally to support business activities and identify areas for improvement

• Manage the finance team's role in annual physical inventory audits

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting

• Assist with system implementation projects and work with consultants on enhancements

• Participate in audit preparation and respond to data requests


Manufacturing Accounting Manager Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

5-7 years of post-grad accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

Strong supervisory and management experience specifically over an accounting team

Power BI, Power Query and Excel Macros is required

Experience with customizing reports

ERP system experience required (no large ERP systems) / Sage 300 ideally

Must have advanced attention to detail with the capability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Experience and desire to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt with changes

Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments and team members

Driven to improve processes with experience in implementations and system administration
