Position Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and passionate Human Resources Director to shape and enhance our workforce culture. This leader will develop and implement HR strategies that align with our business objectives, boost employee engagement, and cultivate a high-performance culture. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of HR best practices, and the ability to navigate the unique challenges of the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies that support overall business goals, ensuring alignment with company values and culture.
  • Talent Acquisition: Oversee recruitment processes to attract, hire, and retain top talent. Develop effective onboarding programs for new employees.
  • Employee Engagement & Relations: Foster a positive work environment by promoting engagement initiatives, resolving conflicts, and addressing employee concerns. Conduct regular surveys to assess satisfaction and areas for improvement.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and create development programs to enhance skills and career growth. Implement leadership development initiatives to build a strong future leader pipeline.
  • Performance Management: Design and manage performance appraisal systems for fair evaluations. Provide guidance on performance improvement plans and employee development.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Oversee compensation strategies, benefits administration, and payroll processes to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure HR policies comply with employment laws. Manage workplace safety protocols and health initiatives.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Promote and implement initiatives to create a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Analyze HR data to inform decision-making and demonstrate the impact of HR initiatives on performance.
  • Collaborative Synergies: Explore opportunities within departments and payroll companies to enhance employee quality of life on campus.

Additional Preferred Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Monitor in/out punches, overtime, and business-to-schedule ratios using common payroll software.
  • Market Analysis: Identify competitive compensation sets to ensure optimal results for the company and team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the hospitality or service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful HR programs and initiatives.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Passion for hospitality and commitment to creating a positive employee experience.
