Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to take charge of our mechanical operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in subsea engineering and the ability to balance hands-on engineering tasks with leading a small team of mechanical engineers. This critical and high-visibility role will spearhead the development of technologies for the deployment, operation, and retrieval of our modular hydropower systems and related equipment.

 

Mechanical Engineer Lead - Benefits and Compensation:

Mechanical Engineer Lead - Qualifications: 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen 
  • Bachelor's or an advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Oceaneering
  • Subsea, experience with rivers, oceans, lakes, in an Engineering capacity
  • At least 7-10 years professional experience
  • At least 2 years of experience leading and managing an engineering team while also making an impact as an independent contributor
  • Deep understanding of subsea or offshore environments and the related engineering challenges
  • Familiarity with mechanical component and hardware identification and selection
  • Understanding of mechanical systems design and integration
  • Ability to perform bench and field testing



Mechanical Engineer Lead - Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee and manage the mechanical engineering team
  • Manage relationships with mechanical vendors 
  • Lead the development of subsea systems development
  • Manage multiple projects and programs concurrently
