Banquet Sous Chef Requirements: 

• 2+ years in a similar role as a Sous Chef for large catered events
• Hands-on leadership style
• Problem-solver, and highly organized
• Proficient in managing P&L for labor and food costs
• Skilled in motivating and leading and developing one's team 
• Effective and clear verbal communication skills 

Banquet Sous Chef Responsibilities: 

• Manage planning, preparation, and execution for catered events
• Mentor and develop staff through training and coaching
• Deliver feedback and hold the team accountable to all standards
• Ensure the banquet kitchen is staffed accordingly, hire and train when needed
• Responsible for food product procurement  
• Comply with all purchasing programs 
• Ensure all equipment is functioning in proper order
• Comply with all county and state laws governing food service operations
