Job Summary

A leading fundraising organization seeks an Administrative Specialist to support the Northeast team in a number of areas. This is an ideal role for an individual looking for a career in non-profits.


Fundraising Administrative Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Dual administrative role supporting multiple area including managing administrative tasks and creation of reports, solicitation materials, and database entry.
  • Interact with donors, volunteers and staff so must have excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Oversee flow of legal documents to ensure timely receipt of donations, and conducting followup as needed
  • Update and maintain data in Raisers Edge to track paperwork and trustee communications
  • Support luncheons and other events for the NY office including setup and cleanup as needed as well as coordination and planning of annual staff conference
  • Make travel arrangements
  • Other duties as assigned

Fundraising Administrative Specialist Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree Required. Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of administrative assistance experience, preferably within a non-profit
  • Must have excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Raisers Edge, and Internet) and be familiar with working with database programs and presentation software
  • Must be able to work independently, multitask, and work under tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication, and high accuracy and organization
  • Adaptable personality to support various area managers
  • Raisers Edge and PG Calc proficiency a plus
