Job Summary

Our client is a National integrated architecture, design, and strategy firm looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO). The (COO) role provides strategic leadership, management, and vision to ensure the company has the appropriate operational controls, administrative processes, reporting systems, and human resources in place to drive organizational growth, maintain financial stability, and optimize operational efficiency.


Chief Operating Officer Salary:

  • Remote/Hybrid position
  • Base salary of $240 - 260k + lucrative performance bonus
  • Medical/Dental/Vision/Retirement
  • PTO, Vacation

Chief Operating Officer Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, business administration or finance. MBA preferred
  • 10 years of management experience with 2 years in an Executive Level role
  • 3-5 years of experience in an Architectural Design organization is required
  • Hands-on experience as an Architectural Studio or Practice Leader and/or, Architectural Project Manager.
  • Experience with the development of operational controls that demonstrate organizational efficiencies, effectiveness and alignment with overall company strategy.
  • Deep understanding of sales and projects cycles of commercial practice areas such as Mixed-Use, Industrial, Multi-Family, Hospitality, Workplace, Healthcare, etc.
  • Knowledge of Deltek or similar financial database and Bluebeam Revu

Chief Operating Officer Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with CEO to define strategic direction, drive organizational growth, and oversee governance mechanisms.
  • Measure and ensure the effectiveness of internal and external processes, providing accurate reports on the company’s operations.
  • Spearhead growth strategies, holding leaders accountable for their targets and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Work with national leaders to achieve targets and implement operational systems and infrastructure for rapid growth.
  • Partner with CFO to manage financial communication with investors and assist in capital raising.
  • Foster an accountable, success-driven environment, ensuring alignment between revenue functions (sales, marketing) and practices.
  • Use data to define KPIs, drive sustainable growth, and ensure compliance at all levels.
  • Create system of high visibility organizational controls to drive efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Inspire and mentor leadership team to meet key business metrics.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor teams across locations and functions.
  • Oversee operations and support hiring, training, and performance.
