Hotel - Resident General Manager Job Description

The Resident General Manager will oversee personnel and daily operational tasks. This location is in Alexandria VA and looking for immediate hire for a resident GM with a growing company. This is a new build location and only open around a year


Hotel - Resident General Manager Expectations:

  • Deliver excellent first impression for all guests and potential guests, ensuring special requests are filled
  • The candidate must have a strong sales and operations background
  • Be able to provide exceptional guest service and be able to prioritize.
  • The candidate should also have very strong house-keeping and front desk knowledge
  • The candidate needs to be able to live on the property and be responsible for operations while there. Location does have an AGM that provides you with quality of life and PTO

Hotel - Resident General Manager Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to utilize Excel to conduct analysis of financials
  • Exceptional written and oral communication
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively handle emergency situations and guest complaints

Hotel - Resident General Manager Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of extended-stay or suite property experience 
  • can also have been a property manager
  • 5+ years of supervisory or management experience


Hotel - Resident General Manager Compensation and Benefits:

  • Accommodations of a 2-Bedroom apartment are provided for Resident General Managers at our hotels. Utilities, including High-Speed Internet, are included - in this market, this free housing is valued at $2500 per month completely free to you. This is pet friendly and a brand-new location
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance paid up to $500 per month tax-free.
  • Salary ranges from $50,000 - $55,000 depending on the experience - TOTAL PACKAGE - $55K salary+12K bonus+$30K free living, utilities, insurance and internet = $97K total package
  • Strong Competitive bonus program based on performance amounting to approximately 12K per year
  • Total compensation including salary, bonus and lodging in the 90K range
  • 1-week vacation after 90 days and 2 weeks after 1 year
  •  Every 3rd weekend off from Friday morning to Sunday night 
  • Vacation and closed on Labor Day, Memorial Day, July 4, NY Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
