Job Summary
Our client is looking for a talented Omakase/Sushi Chef for an exciting new venture. Great opportunity for a talented Sushi Chef looking to grow!
Sushi Chef Responsibilities:
- Leads culinary teams in driving consistent successful service
- Develops new recipes, plans menus using focusing on coastal Italian cuisine using seasonal and high-quality fresh seafood
- Reviewing staffing levels to meet service, operational, and financial objectives.
- Hiring, training, scheduling, payroll, evaluation, and terminations of the culinary team
- Performing administrative tasks, taking inventory of food and equipment supplies, and doing purchase orders
- Setting and monitoring performance standards for the kitchen team
- Collaborate with executive management and ownership to create a successful and efficient operation
Sushi Chef Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar position
- Advanced knowledge of Japanese cuisines and knife skills
- Advanced knowledge of BOH systems, equipment, ordering, and inventory
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrated problem-solving and leadership capabilities, financial acumen
- Available to work flexible schedule
