Job Summary

As our Construction Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in managing our financial operations and ensuring the precision of our accounting practices. This position allows you to make a significant impact on this small but rapidly growing company by applying your expertise in horizontal construction accounting. Experience in leading an accounting team and implementing systems is preferred.


This position is on-site only, is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, in the Burnsville, NC area, and would come with relocation assistance.


Construction Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including coding invoices, processing payments, and managing monthly billing
  • Maintain accurate job cost records, manage equipment tracking, and ensure the integrity of financial data
  • Collaborate with project managers to resolve budget discrepancies and support the development of financial strategies

Construction Accounting Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum of 3 years of experience in horizontal construction accounting
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, QuickBooks Online, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and prior experience with a Heavy Civil Contractor is preferred
  • Familiarity with site work software is required. Examples - Foundation, Knowify, ComputerEase, or Sage 300 is preferred
  • Position is on-site in Burnsville, NC. Relocation assistance is available.
