Lead Quality Electro Mechanical Manufacturing Test Engineer
Our client is a power distribution component manufacturer with a long and exciting history. They are primed for aggressive expansion into new and existing markets. We are seeking a Lead Quality Test Engineer to support product development and ensure the reliability and safety of the products and systems. This role works closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, production and supply chain to ensure all products meet regulatory standards and customers requirements as well as supporting the coaching and mentoring of a team of QA/QC engineers.
Lead Quality Electro Mechanical Manufacturing Test Engineer Responsibilities:
- Perform testing of components, assemblies and systems at all phases of production
- Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting to resolution
- Document test logs during all phases and record defects.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to resolve and fix defects
- Develop testing protocols for reliability, performance and safety standards
- Support company-wide initiatives, including quality improvement projects to maintain best-in-class service
- Take the lead in coaching and mentoring a team of test engineers
Lead Quality ElectroMechanical Manufacturing Test Engineer Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 4+ years experience in QA/QC testing electrical systems
- Experience/knowledge working power distribution systems and components including switchgear and circuit breakers, medium and/or low voltage products
- Strong aptitude of quality management systems and methodologies
- Experience with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and root cause analysis
- Understanding of IEEE, IEC, UL and other regulatory guidelines
- Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or other CI processes
