Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Grocery Store Manager for a high-volume store in Chicago. The ideal candidate will bring expertise from key competitors or have experience managing mid to high-volume stores, with annual revenues preferably exceeding $14 million.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring excellence in customer service, inventory management, and overall store presentation.
  • Manage fresh produce departments, ensuring top quality, freshness, and variety.
  • Lead and motivate a team, ensuring smooth store operations and adherence to company standards.
  • Ensure financial targets are met, with a focus on cost control, profit margin, and sales growth.
  • Implement hands-on leadership to develop team members and maintain operational excellence.
  • Monitor and improve store profitability, including analyzing financial reports and adjusting strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience as a Store Manager or Director, with a track record of taking on additional responsibilities and showing potential for further growth.
  • Experience in fresh produce management is essential.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience with profit and loss statements.
  • Hands-on leadership style with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team development.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of $75,000 - $90,000 per year.
