Our client's rapidly growing and well-established steel erection company is looking for a highly experienced and extraordinary Vice President of Construction. This organization builds structural steel frames for single-story, multi-story, mixed-use commercial, and warehouse spaces. The Vice President of Construction Operations is responsible for the overall functions of the team from the initial bid to the final walk-through; working closely with field team members, executive leadership, and the internal admin team.

**This position will require relocation to the Nashville, TN metro area**

Responsibilities:

• Communicate and maintain good relationships with vendors, building officials, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and customers
• Oversee all aspects of the construction and development process, from project planning to completion
• Develop and implement budgets and financial plans
• Negotiate contracts with clients and vendors
• Manage risk and ensure compliance with all regulations
• Represent the company to the public and to clients
• Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
• Maintain good industry involvement with associations and state and local government relationships.

Requirements:

• Proven track record of strong leadership, communication, team building skills, and the demonstrated personal drive to achieve ambitious goals within the commercial construction industry
• Skilled at establishing and working collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment with multiple projects and priorities, with an annual sales volume of around $50MM,
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 15+ years of experience in the area of construction management; steel erection and commercial construction highly preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related: required
