Culinary Director Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Executive Chef, or Culinary Director in a high-volume concept
  • Strong level of creativity and financially astute
  • Broad knowledge of both front and back of house operations
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and highly organized
  • Servant leader, and great role model who inspires and motivates the team
  • ability to foster a positive work environment and hold team accountable
  • A culinary degree is preferred, and NRO experience is a plus

Culinary Director Duties:

  • Responsible for managing all culinary operations including recruiting, hiring, training and mentoring the back and front-of-house teams to maintain high standards
  • Stay up-to-date with culinary trends to develop innovative menus and seasonal recipes
  • Audit kitchens as needed to ensure compliance with all food safety regulations
  • Develop partnerships with local farmers, distributors and vendors to source high-quality ingredients
  • Oversee inventory, ordering of food and supplies focusing on waste reduction and environmentally friendly practices
  • Ensure consistent high food quality and presentation
