Job Summary

The Plant Operations Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of plant operations will have direct supervisory responsibility of the Production Manager, Maintenance Manager, EH&S Manager and Lab Manager. This role is located south of Lincoln, Nebraska.


Plant Operations Manager Benefits:

  • Base salary range of $164,000 - $184,000

Plant Operations Manager Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates plant operations, aligning goals with company strategies for profitability and reliability
  • Utilizes KPIs to identify improvement opportunities
  • Manages departmental budgets, reporting deviations to the CEO
  • Enforces best practices in SOPs and robust training for operators/technicians
  • Expert in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and resolves issues to prevent recurrence
  • Oversees effective plant shutdowns, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion
  • and ensures qualified vendors/contractors
  • Drives change through the Management of Change (MOC) process
  • Ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards

Plant Operations Manager Requirements:

  • BS degree, required. Engineering degree, strongly preferred
  • Must be currently employed
  • Prior experience in a 24/365 continuous process manufacturing equipment plant, required
  • 10 years of operations leadership experience in a large-scale industrial, continuous process manufacturing environment
  • Experience with processing equipment such as evaporators, heat exchangers, centrifuges, drying equipment, boilers, cooling towers, chillers, air compressors, pumps, valves, electrical circuits, and instrumentation preferred
