Job Summary
We are looking for our next financial leader! We are a unique, independent hotel and we need a Finance Director that is an out-of-the-box thinker, who is highly organized, highly professional, and can guide our team in making financial choices. We empower our finance director to run their department!
This position is for a Luxury Hotel in rural area of Eastern Washington and will require living and working in Eastern Washington. This is NOT a remote position.
Hotel Financial Controller Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business management. MBA preferred
- 5+ years of experience as a Controller or Director of Finance for a full-service hotel
- 3+ years with an independent hotel or hotel with decentralized accounting system
- Experience creating reports and presentations and delivering directly to ownership
- Experience with creating PnL reports, Forecasts, and Budgets
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Excellent and proven abilities in financial analysis
Hotel Financial Controller Responsibilities:
- Oversee all finance and accounting for the business entity
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting including month and year-end
- Ensure proper payment of taxes
- Manage cash flow proactively
- Develop and implement financial systems and processes to effectively manage all finances
- Create reports through analysis that will help guide ownership and leadership in decision-making processes
