Field Service Technician

Job Summary

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and system start-up for our customers. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service. You will work closely with the Service Manager and other team members to identify and resolve technical issues.


Responsibilities:

  • Start up, test, and debug control panels
  • Wire machinery and run conduit
  • Provide technical expertise to production employees
  • Travel to customer sites for installations and troubleshooting
  • Assist with electrical issues at company locations

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Electrical, Controls, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical control panel design, assembly, and wiring
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Experience with 240/480V single and 3-phase circuits
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for PLC and relay logic
  • Ability to build control panels
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, valves, and hydraulics
  • Experience with electrical/mechanical equipment in an industrial setting
  • Combustion knowledge (preferred, not required)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license
