A prestigious property is looking for a Human Resources Manager to lead the Human Resource efforts of an iconic hotel located in metro Albany area.

Human Resources Manager Job Description:

• Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
• Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
• Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies.
• Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and initiating employee engagement activities.
• Monitor and assign brand standards and corporate hotel related training.
• Assist in providing backup to on-boarding for new employees by providing information packets, reviewing company policies and payroll information, explaining benefit programs, and obtaining document signatures.
• Prepare payroll by calculating and entering pay into ADP Workforce Now, maintain payroll records.
• Maintain employee human resources records by recording the hiring, transfer, termination, change in job classifications, and merit increase dates, as well as tracking vacation, sick, and personal time.
• Assist in administering employee benefits programs, medical insurance, and disability programs by advising employees of eligibility, providing application information, helping with form completion, verifying submission, and notifying employees of approvals.
• Ensure compliance with labor regulations.

Human Resources Manager Job Qualifications:  

• 4 years proven experience as Human Resource Generalist or higher is required.
• Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
• Excellent communication and people skills Aptitude in problem-solving
• Union Experience is highly preferred
• Required Experience in ADP Workforce Now Outstanding knowledge of MS Office in addition to HRIS Systems
• Experience in Hospitality is a plus.
• Additional HR training (e.g.,SHRM-CP) will be a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related academic field and/or work equivalent is Required.
