Job Summary
Oceanfront property is looking for a strong Hotel Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance of this beautiful resort on the Jersey shore.
Hotel Chief Engineer Job Description:
- Oversee a thriving preventative maintenance program to ensure the safety and longevity of hotel guestrooms, facilities and equipment is maintained.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to waste management, energy conservation, and sustainability initiatives.
- Manage hotel maintenance team, organizing efforts around providing a premier facility to support a positive guest experience.
- Analyze problems and formulate plans to accomplish objectives. Procure materials as needed.
- Work with approved contractors to submit bids; present bids and recommendations.
- Ensure property, grounds, hotel and work areas are maintained and that all equipment and conditions are up to local code.
- Monitor the efficiency of equipment and electrical systems to ensure proper operation.
Hotel Chief Engineer Job Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of HVAC systems is required. Certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, components and devices, boilers, mechanical systems and the maintenance and repair of all
- Excellent knowledge of public construction and building systems, all related permits, licensing, new and existing codes pertaining to public building and fire safety
- A minimum of 4 years building maintenance experience required, with hotel/resort experience preferred. Previous engineering management experience required.
- Experience in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry fields is required.
- Must be guest service focused and understand expectations of hospitality demands.
