Solar Engineer Compensation & Benefits:

Solar Engineer Requirements:

• OSHA Certification (OSHA 10/30)
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• NABCEP PV Installation Professional or PV Design Specialist
• Valid DL

Solar Engineer Responsibilities:

• Calculations & design for PV systems – mainly dealing with AC/DC electrical design, interconnection methods, DC stringing, NEC code compliance, utility requirement compliance, fire / building code compliance, and project requirements
• Design relay protection schemes and SCADA controls based on utility and project requirements
• Perform Arc Flash calculations using SKM
• Create electrical single/three-line diagrams, panel schedules, or connection diagrams for solar electric systems, using computer-aided design (AutoCAD experience preferred)
