This is NOT a remote or hybrid position. Must be willing to be in the office 5 days a week.

Corporate Controller Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Payroll, Bank Reconciliations, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. Minimum oversight of AR/AP processing a minimum of 5,000 invoices monthly
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements with a 4-day close.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the finance and accounting team.

Corporate Controller Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience as a Controller in a multi-unit environment responsible for a minimum of $150M+ in annual revenue and 15+ locations or entities.
  • 5+ years of overall combined high-level accounting and finance experience as a Controller.
  • Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures, along with some IFRS experience and SOX compliance knowledge.
  • Experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions, complex journal entry management-review/processes, and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Some experience with Lease, Tax, and Fixed Asset Accounting
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills; MS Office Suite and Oracle expertise highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ability to work under pressure and meet unmovable deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability and experience to present to the Executive leadership team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a positive “can-do” attitude.
  • Proven experience managing and empowering a team of 8 (Assistant Controllers, AR, AP, Payroll, and Analysts)
