Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Controller with a strong background in accounting and finance, especially within PE-backed and SaaS companies. The Controller will oversee the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role involves managing a small team, improving financial processes, and providing critical financial insights to support business decisions.

Controller Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
- Lead the monthly financial close process and ensure the accuracy of financial records and reports.
- Manage QuickBooks and other financial systems, ensuring proper maintenance and data integrity.
- Supervise state and federal tax compliance, including sales & use tax calculations, 1099 filings, and annual tax payments.
- Develop and implement efficient accounting processes and tools to streamline operations, reduce errors, and enhance reporting.
- Act as the primary liaison with banks for financial transactions, loan management, and audits.
- Handle due diligence for capital raises, financial reviews, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor a small team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Controller Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar role within PE-backed and SaaS companies.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and financial software tools.
- Experience with QuickBooks, Bill.com, and HubSpot (CRM) is a plus.
- Ability to manage a sub $100 million revenue business, streamline operations, and improve financial processes.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
