We are seeking a Professional Land Surveyor, in Sussex County, who wants to join an Employee Owned firm with a family-focused culture.

Professional Land Surveyor Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate measurements of land areas, including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and construction staking.
• Establish property boundaries and prepare boundary descriptions under legal standards.
• Analyze survey data and create detailed maps, plats, and reports using GIS and CAD software.
• Oversee surveying projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Communication:** Communicate findings and provide expert advice to clients, contractors, engineers, and government agencies.
• Ensure all surveying activities adhere to local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments, including GPS, total stations, and levels.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records, survey notes, and legal documents.

Professional Land Surveyor Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• DE Professional Land Surveyor license is required.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in land surveying, with a proven track record of successful project completion.
• Proficiency in surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS applications) and operation of modern surveying instruments.
• Strong understanding of boundary law, surveying principles, and land development processes.
• Ability to analyze complex data, solve problems, and make informed decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and interacting with clients and stakeholders.
• High level of precision and accuracy in all surveying tasks.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain, and to lift and carry surveying equipment.
