Job Summary

Our client is a manufacturer of customized power equipment and are primed for aggressive expansion into new and existing markets. We are seeking a dynamic Plant Manager who has direct experience in Lean Manufacturing transformations that are necessary to scale the growth of the operation. This is a hands-on position leading the efforts to implement changes and overhauls of their manufacturing facility. 


Plant Manager Responsibilities:

  • Assume primary responsibility for plant operations to ensure all quality, productivity, safety, and delivery targets are consistently met or exceeded. 
  • Owns the production schedule
  • Identify, design, and implement lean manufacturing processes, testing methodologies, and supporting tools
  • Lead and provide direction for all Quality staff regarding standards of work and personnel issues
  • Implement and produce quality metrics and reporting to all levels of management
  • Participate in the annual budget proposal process

Plant Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives and implementations, and plant turnaround experience.  
  • Familiarity with customized manufacturing of engineered products specifically metal fabrication
  • Strong Lean experience and desire to coach a team for successful implementations
  • Metric driven to analyze and improve costs, service and quality metrics
  • Culture Change Agent- desire to lead the transformation of Lean systems and processes
  • NetSuite experience is a plus
  • Experience with electrical components huge plus
  • Union experience is a plus
