Executive Chef Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the kitchen, including menu development, food preparation, and presentation, to ensure the highest quality of cuisine and service
- Oversee kitchen operations, including staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management, to maintain a cohesive and efficient team
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and sanitation practices to uphold the restaurant's reputation for cleanliness and professionalism
- Manage food costs, inventory levels, and purchasing decisions to optimize profitability while maintaining the highest standards of quality and freshness
- Foster a culture of creativity, teamwork, and continuous improvement among kitchen staff, inspiring them to excel and strive for culinary excellence
Executive Chef Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining restaurant with an emphasis on Latin and South American fusion with a deep understanding of traditional cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and ingredients, coupled with a creative flair for innovation
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a diverse team of culinary professionals
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred
Mitch Marron
