Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of operational accounting experience, demonstrating expertise in cost accounting, agency audits, and team leadership. The Controller will play a crucial role in managing our accounting needs, ensuring financial accuracy and integrity.

 

Accounting Manager Salary and Benefits:

  • Base salary: $90,000 to $140,000 with performance-based increases.
  • Discretionary profit-sharing bonuses after one year.
  • Health, vision, dental, and life insurance.
  • HSA with up to $1,500 employer match annually.
  • Employees pay $15/month for self, $25/month per dependent.
  • 401(k) with generous employer match.
  • Paid leave, vacation, holidays, and parental leave.
  • Free daycare (subject to availability).

 

Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle accounting: AP, AR, GL, payroll, financial reporting.
  • Develop cost accounting systems for accurate costing and inventory.
  • Lead audits ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provide financial analysis and reports for strategic decisions.
  • Mentor and lead accounting team.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closings.
  • Implement and enhance accounting policies and internal controls.

 

Accounting Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 8+ years in operational accounting, strong in cost accounting and audits.
  • Proven team leadership skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
