The Opportunity

The National Conference Center is currently seeking a high performing Sales Manager to acquire new business and maintain existing clientele.


The National Conference Center is one of the largest and most comprehensive conference centers and learning and development campuses in the nation, with 917 guest rooms and 270,000 square feet of conference and event space. It sits along the historic Potomac River in Leesburg, Virginia, near Washington, DC.

The cool work you'll be doing...

  • Proactively initiate contact with new client prospects via direct phone calls, emails, and site tours.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events, as scheduled.
  • Schedule meetings with clients to plan and design proper meeting space for groups and guests.
  • Warmly greet and welcome all clients and guests to the conference center.
  • Assist Director of Sales & Marketing with budget planning and management
  • Collaborate with team members in other departments to ensure quality service
  • Participate in special projects designed for growth and development

What you bring to the team...

  • 4+ years experience in hotel sales and marketing or event venue sales
  • Strong ability to connect with others in a business capacity
  • Confidence in analyzing situations and making quick decisions
  • Proven aptitude for solving complex problems
  • Demonstrated capacity for remaining calm under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Consistent positive energy with a "can-do" attitude
