Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Senior Associate to join our dynamic tax team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance and consulting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. As a Tax Senior Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality tax services to our clients, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws, and contributing to the strategic growth of the department.
Tax Senior Associate Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to provide accurate and timely advice to clients on various tax matters.
- Assist in tax planning and consulting projects, including tax strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and other business transactions.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather necessary information and ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance with new regulations.
- Mentor and train junior staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, effectively communicating complex tax concepts.
- Maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service and addressing client inquiries promptly.
Tax Senior Associate Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred. Must be able to sit for the CPA exam
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting, preferably in a public accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
