Director of Business Development Responsibilities:

• Reports Directly to the General Manager 
• Build relationships with key decision makers in major accounts to define needs and identify new business opportunities.
• Prospect calls to regional/national corporations and federal government agencies.
• Create proposals that support client's training objectives.
• Create team-selling environment.
• Schedule and conduct face-to-face meetings to determine strategic fit and interest.
• Identify opportunities to gain a competitive edge against global competitors. 
• Actively participate in select industry membership organizations.
• Self-managed local and national travel to fulfill position targets.

Director of Business Development Qualification:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or hospitality industry with high volume
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles and best practices
• Knowledge of Opera software and other relevant sales technologies
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs
