Cost Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 2+ years of post-graduate accounting experience in a manufacturing environment with manual inventory (mandatory)
• Cost Accounting/Financial Accounting/Financial Reporting/Month End/ GL Reconciliation experience (mandatory)
• Excellent Excel skills; must be able to do power queries, utlize macros or VBA and have examples of formulas written to improve inventory and accounting processes (mandatory)
• ERP system experience/Implementations/System Administration experience
• Sage 300 and Power BI experience a plus
• Exceptional communication skills, and strong attention to detail

Cost Accountant Responsibilities

• Monthly margin & returns analysis
• Monthly cost analysis to calculate the effects of cost increases and decreases from suppliers
• Variance reports and propose adjustments
• Oversee inventory control function and assist with manual physical inventory audit
• Manage Bill of Material issues
• Analyze CAPEX Budget vs. Actual Spending
• Period-end closing, journal entries, variance analysis, financial Accounting/financial reporting/month end/ GL reconciliation
• Ad-hoc reporting
