Job Summary
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team and take on a critical role in our distributed generation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
Electrical Engineer Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary in the range of $90,000 - $140,000 DEO

Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Document Review: Assess and verify solar developer documents for completeness and update records to reflect any changes.
- Software Utilization: Employ CYME and GIS software to screen distribution projects.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with various consulting firms to initiate and evaluate Distributed Generation (DG) project studies necessary for interconnection.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the DG team within Asset Management as well as other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
- Preliminary Engineering: Conduct initial engineering design and develop project cost estimates based on study outcomes.
- Estimate and Scope Review: Examine project estimates and scope documents with solar developers to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
- Document Management: Maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the study process.
- Capital Projects Development: Develop short-term capital projects aimed at improving reliability, which includes project development, scope definition, justification, and priority setting.
- Capital Prioritization: Collaborate with the Asset Management group on the annual prioritization of capital projects.
Electrical Engineer Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology is required.A minimum of 3 years of experience working with Transmission and Distribution (T&D) utilities is preferred.
- Proficiency with PC-based software, including CYME and GIS, is preferred.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office are required.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
