Job Summary
This iconic restaurant group is seeking a Sous Chef for one of their uptown locations. The ideal candidate for this role will enjoy the opportunity to lead, teach, and create each day. The menus change at least twice per year, and you will have access to all the wonderful ingredients that the area provides. Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Support the Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef to manage daily restaurant operations
- Knowledge of and respect for all ingredients
- Help hire and train a team of cooks in proper technique and ingredient handling
- Some financial accountability, inventory management
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and food presentation
- Use tact and discretion in managing all hourly team members with the utmost respect
Sous Chef Qualifications:
- 2 years experience in managing a high-volume, upscale or fine dining environment
- Demonstrated ability to use and implement software and technology to manage operations
- Experience with 7M or more in volume
- No more than 2 jobs in a 5 year period
