Job Summary
Our client is a manufacturer of customized switchgear founded over 80 years ago. They are primed for aggressive expansion into new and existing markets. We are seeking a dynamic Production Manager to oversee production activities related to low and medium voltage electrical systems. This role will ensure that processes run smoothly, efficiently and safely. This is a hands-on position leading the efforts to implement changes and overhauls of their manufacturing facility.
Customized Manufacturing Production Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Assume primary responsibility for manufacturing production operations to ensure all quality, productivity, safety, and delivery targets are consistently met or exceeded.
- Supervise staff and oversee production activities related to electrical systems coordinaing dialy operations
- Ensure safety compliance and strict adherence to quality monitoring
- Lead and motivate staff, provide training and support to ensure optimal productivity
- Manage resources effectively to meet production deadlines
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems
- Continuously evaluate workflows needing improvement and implement changes for efficiencies.
Customized Manufacturing Production Supervisor Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical Engineering or related field
- Prior experience in supervisory role within electrical industry
- Knowledge of low-voltage and medium voltage electrical systems and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with customized manufacturing of engineered products
- Lean experience and desire to coach a team for successful implementations
- Working knowledge of safety regulations and procedures applicable to electrical manufacturing environments
- Experience with Union environment a plus
- Electrical distribution experience a plus
