VP of Sales and Marketing

Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced VP of Sales and Marketing for their new division. The most qualified applicants will have experience with start-ups or building a new division including employer branding, full-scope marketing principles, sales strategies and techniques, and managing a team for a large residential builder.
VP of Sales and Marketing Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual salary between $140-$160k
- Project-based bonus structure, which will turn into a commission opportunity once communities are being developed

VP of Sales and Marketing Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business Administration
- At least five years of professional experience in a marketing and sales role for a large residential builder
- Keen interest in building trends
- Fluency in CRM software and MS Suite
- Strong full-scope branding and marketing skills
- Financial acumen to identify ROI and areas of opportunity
- Ability to inspire, lead, and motivate a team of Sales Professionals
- Collaborative and open-minded approach to business along with strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
VP of Sales and Marketing Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research, develop and brand a new residential division of the company in multiple states
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors on building a new website and collateral for the new division
- Maintain marketing efforts to ensure a full lease-up and create brand awareness for new and existing communities within the division
- Research, and collaborate with the construction team on the design of shared spaces in the new communities, offering input on trends and valuable amenities per location
- Hire, lead, inspire, and motivate sales and operations employees per location, often remotely
- Work with the operations team to ensure ongoing effective and smooth operations in the new communities
- Work in the Chicago office at least three days per week
- Ability to travel to developing locations up to two weeks per month depending upon the stage of the development, and as often as necessary thereafter
